jonathan's specialist area is disability studies. he is interested in viewing disability and impairment in terms of the way they impact on inclusion and much of his work is concerned with how social theory can be used to make sense of the lives of disabled people. jonathan has an acquired brain injury so his work is influenced by direct experience of disbility.
alison has experience of strategic and operational leadership and management within the secondary and he sectors and is instrumental in the training and quality assuring of in-school coaches/mentors.
tanya is course leader ma education courses at marjon cornwall campus in truro. an innovative academic, tanya’s research focus is on educational isolation of coastal, rural and small schools and the relationship with teacher development and educational improvement.
karen brings over 30 years’ experience in working inside and outside university, fhe, informal education and business settings. she is expert in developing flexible study routes to meet the needs of students from a wide range of professional settings and won the university’s student-led ‘inspiration’ teaching award in 2016.
